But it now also classifies an "uncomfortable landing" the same way most airliner pilots would - anything higher than 180fpm. It now classifies a "hard landing" and "severe hard landing" at the exact same limits that most airliner manuals do - +600fpm, or +830fpm respectively (Airbus says that a hard landing (+600fpm) requires inspection, and a severe hard landing (+830fpm) likely caused damage). I changed the qualitative assessment messages to be more forgiving to standard Airliner tolerances. It would frequently tell you "R.I.P." or "anybody survived?" for perfectly survivable landings on a large plane like a Boeing 777. But it also gives you a little text assessment of those values - problem is, the "hard landing" v-speed and g-force values for a small cessna are much lower than those of a heavy airliner. Many fellow x-plane users may have heard of asso's Landing Speed plugin - it pops up a little box that tells you your landing speed and gforce on touchdown.
